The Kayenta Arts Foundation has completed its first fiscal year.  As many of you know, KAF received its 501 (c) (3) recognition from the IRS in September.  In October, KAF became fully authorized by the State of Utah to solicit funds.  The Chair’s Annual Report, including the year end financial report, will be available February 1st.  Anyone wishing to receive a copy may e-mail his/her request to judithk@freqcoor.org

As KAF enters its first full fiscal year, it looks to Kayenta residents and others for support: financial, of course, but also for volunteers to work events and for input on what events to sponsor.  Donations may be given to George Stoddard, KAF’s Treasurer and made out to “Kayenta Arts Foundation”.  Persons interested in being included on a volunteer roster may contact Cindy Smith, Volunteer Coordinator at cindy@kayenta.com.

Ideas for performances, lectures, other events may be e-mailed to Bobby Edwards, Event Committee Chair, at writebobby@mac.com.

KAF’s first events for 2012 include two events during the Kayenta Arts Festival held Presidents’ Day weekend:  a “Quick Draw” where artists make a piece of art within a specified period of time and then the art is auctioned, and “Rock, Roll, and Jazz” a Satuday evening event featuring Sister Wives and Steph Johnson.  In April, KAF will sponsor the Second Annual Street Painting Festival.  KAF Directors look forward to seeing you.
